Bat Boxes

Bat Boxes

With the generous help of a number of volunteers, the Norwich Conservation Commission has built and will be installing several bat boxes on nature areas around town.

The effort to build and install bat boxes was spearheaded by Lynnwood Andrews and a number of commission members helped to acquire, cut, and prep material. Two sets of boxes were then built by the generous volunteer effort of the students of the Richmond Middle School shop class taught by Cliff Harrison as well as members of Dartmouth's Flora and Fauna Club.

Materials to mount the boxes have been aquired and the boxes will begin going up during the summer of 2023. We'll all be eagerly watching to see bats take up residence.
